The learning time required for each grade in a TRINITY,ABRSM,RSL AND ROCK & POP music exam can vary depending on the individual's prior experience, musical aptitude, and the specific requirements of the exam board. Generally, here's an approximate breakdown:

Grade: Initial-8 th

 

Practice Time: Around 6 months to 1 year of consistent practice, depending on the instrument and the learner's pace.

Weekly Practice: Typically 15-30 minutes per day, gradually increasing as the exam approaches.

​

Skills: Basic skills and understanding of the instrument or voice, basic music theory, simple pieces.
